Every tourist needs to obtain a visa before entering Bhutan, issued by the Department of Immigration of the Royal Government of Bhutan. Citizens of India, Bangladesh and Maldives can get a visa on arrival at the time of entry from the immigration office. The tourist visa fee is charged at $40 which is issued as per the day of your stay. Apart from Visa tourists also need to pay SDF (Sustainable Development Fee) of $200 per day. Similarly, people of India need to pay SDF for their days of visit which cost ₹1200 per day.
