Popularly called Motithang Zoo, the Royal Takin Preserve is the best place to witness the Takin, the national animal of Bhutan. Takin is considered to be a vulnerable species and also holds a huge significance for the people of Bhutan as it is connected to the mythological world of Buddhism.
